Oh the fun that Iowa is!!

Figure that it's about time I should update. Nothing new is really going on here. Maybe this weekend though. My roommate and I and possibly Jason are thinking about going to check out Mt. Rushmore. It should be a good weekend trip. As for work, things are going quite well. I'm working on some awesome challenging projects...not stupid shit like papers and reports and stuff, but actually designing things. Not quite mechanical engineering, but a lot of manufacturing and industrial engineering.

On another note, a bunch of my friends from high school just graduated today. Most of them are probably going to stay in colorado for school. A couple at CSU, some at DU and some at CU. All very good schools...should be able to call on them in the future if I need a lawyer or something!

I'll get to go hang out with them later on this month...actually less than 2 weeks from now I'll be home! Gotta go see the delta girls and hang out with all my debate friends and such. Possibly a day of 4wheeling too...haven't done that in a while.

Back home there's actually some more places to go shopping, so I know I'll be buying even more new clothes and such for summer and just to have...I'll be big pimpin'!

so yeah...

I'm really bored sitting here in iowa this weekend. The weather had been pretty crappy...i'm talking 3/8" hail or bigger. Massive thunderstorms too. So I was online most of the day...the highlights were when I was talking to Whitney. She's so great! We've been apart for a long time, but it seems like we haven't been away for a single day. We've clicked so well. Will anything ever come of it? I have no idea, but if it doesn't I won't care...she's amazing. At the end of our conversation today she sent me this quote...really hit home with me...I'm going to make sure not to read into it too much...don't want to set myself up for a huge disappointment.

"Well, it seems to me that the best relationships--the ones that last--are frequently the ones that are rooted in friendship. You know, one day you look at the person and you see something more than you did the night before. Like a switch has been flicked somewhere. And the person who was just a friend is suddenly... the only person you can ever imagine yourself with."

Anyhow, just wanted to write something...

Oh yeah!

Figured I'd give a catchy title to this so you'd think some super awesomely cool thing was going on. Anywho, nothing incredibly exciting is going on here except for that I met my best friend from back in 1st grade for the first time in almost 10 years. I found her on thefacebook.com and got a hold of her. It's almost like we weren't gone form each other for that long. She's super nice, not to mention intelligent, fun, honest, open minded, and absolutely gorgious. The coolest thing about it is that she wants to come hang out this next school term.

Other than all that jazz, I've just been working, fishing a little, watching tv, and hanging out with lee. This weekend is the walley opener here in Spirit Lake, so I need to go get registered for that. They release 6 $10,000 tagged walleys into the 3 lakes right near wear we live. If you don't register and catch one you're out the money. The release a bunch of other tagged fish for other prizes too. Hopefully I'm lucky enough to catch one. (I highly doubt it...these lakes are pretty damn big)

So I've been getting kinda bored with what I've been listening to lately, so if you hae any good songs to try out, leave them in a comment or hit me up on AIM or MSN or something. Same goes with movies.

I get to go home in a couple weeks!! I'm flying home from the 26th through the 31st of May. Planning on going out with a bunch of friends to a drive in or something to hang with the delta girls and some of my other friends. Kellen's birthday is also that weekend so I've gotta get something for that. Can't forget the family either...probably going up to my uncle's place and having a decent size family get together and having a BBQ or whatever. It's always a good time up there...watching the deer and elk and such.

Movies that are decent enough to see at the theatre: XXX: State of the Union (better than the first, but still has those 007ish stunts that are incredibly unrealistic), Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy (different but pretty good movie.)

I need new clothes...Ivory has a bunch of mine because I forgot them in Michigan and I've lost enough weight that a bunch of my other stuff doesn't fit anymore. I'm comin' back to Michigan in style ;)

Comedy Central kicks ass...check out Gabriel Iglesias - he's funny as hell.

Well, I don't know what else I can put on here, so I'm out...I'll update again when i have something new to say...that doesn't happen too often here in iowa.
