I'm so freaking excited!

I just bought tickets to Amsterdam for new years. I take off from detroit on the 27th and return on the 5th! So far 3 others from my fraternity are going with us, with another 2 or 3 strongly thinking about it! The worst part is that I have a 14 hour layover in DC...the good part is that I might be able to get out and see part of DC during that time. This was wayyy to crazy of an opportunity to pass up!

Halloween and Blizzards

I know it has been a little while since I posted last, but I have good excuses for it. First off, I've been kinda busy with this stupid orientation class for taking online classes at baker. They're actually making us write papers and such...complete bullshit for an orientation class.

Anyhow, in bigger news, Colorado Springs got hit by a good size storm on thursday. We got around 20 inches of snow in under 12 hours. IT was sweet!! Jake came and picked us up in his Xterra...those things impress me more every time I ride in them. We 4wheeled up hills covered in snow and had no problems whatsoever. The other parts of the day we spent making a big pile of snow in Jake's back yard to snowboard off of. Definitely a good day. When we got back to the apartment, we noticed a big snow statue behind our building...it ended up being a giant penis statue, so we got some pictures with it. I did not help build it as many people seem to believe!

Work has been going pretty well. My boss was out all week last week, so that was nice. I got quite a bit done with my other projects which made me happy. Nothing else really new with work outside of that.

Friday night Brittany and I went out to a sushi place together. It was awesome...we had a good time together and the sushi was amazing. After the sushi we headed to the movies to see Running with Scissors. I really don't know how to describe that movie. It was very different. Around 10 we headed to the other side of town to meet a bunch of friends from work at Texas Roadhouse to celebrate Brian's birthday. Note: going out with Brittany was NOT a date...just roommates hanging out.

Saturday night was a blast. We all went to Jake's house for a Halloween party. Most of the people at the party were coworkers, but all are around my age which is cool. We had an awesome time. I ended up going as a paint baller because I wasn't planning on being around this weekend and didn't have another costume. It ended up turning out alright. Some fun stuff happened at that party and I met some cool people. ;)

Oh yeah, I forgot about Saturday during the day. Tamara and I headed up to CSU to meet one of her friends to go to the CSU football game. It was a blast!

Anywho, that's what's going on with me right now. The only major near future plan I have right now is a possible trip to Amsterdam for New Years with Sweers, Shane, and possibly Camilleri and Choda. It should be an amazing trip if we get it all worked out!

I tried uploading pictures for this, but the picture upload junk isn't working right now. Most of the things I talked about have pictures posted in my facebook photo album which you can find via one of the links on the right hand side of the page.

The Craziness of Colorado Springs

So I just had to write about the crazy weather here. It has snowed 3 times in the past month here in colorado springs. I wasn't here for the first snow, but in the last two weeks it has snowed twice. The first time it snowed it melted within a few hours. Today it started snowing around 2pm and by 5:15 it was 3 or 4 inches deep. It's just kinda crazy how big the weather swings are here...or maybe I'm just used to Michigan.

In other news, things seem to be going pretty good. The roommates and I are still getting along quite well. Work is going alright. I'm working on a couple projects. One I hate and the other is awesome. Sadly, the one I hate is the project that takes priority. Oh well...I guess that's how work goes...

Luckily, I won't have to work a full week this week. Halfway through the day on Friday I'm heading back home to GJ to go hunting with my dad. I'm definitely looking forward to it. I haven't been hunting since my senior year of high school. I just hope to get something bigger than my last buck...which had a gross score of 193 7/8.

Outside of all of that, I'm always looking for something to do around the area or up in the Denver area. If any of my friends that read this are nearby and want to go do something, hit me up. I'm up for just about anything.

I'm back

So I decided that I liked Blogger better than my other blog because of the power I have over HTML and such on this site. Anywho, expect more posts on here since I don't have to be on my Mac to update it. I plan on making some changes to the site in the next week or so, so check back!
